Novana and WASC Partner to Reimagine Accreditation for the AI Era

We’re excited to share that Novana – The AI OS for K–12 School Quality has entered into a strategic partnership with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC, https://acswasc.org/), one of the world’s leading accreditation organizations supporting schools across the United States and internationally.

As part of this collaboration, Barry Groves, President & CEO of WASC, will also serve as an Advisor to Novana. His experience and perspective in accreditation will help guide our work as we continue building technology that supports meaningful school improvement.

Novana has also been recognized as an International Partner of WASC (https://acswasc.org/wascinternational/international-partners/), joining a select group of organizations working alongside WASC to support schools in strengthening quality and continuous improvement practices.

This partnership begins with a belief we strongly share: accreditation should be more than compliance. At its best, it supports reflection, professional dialogue, and real growth within school communities.

Together, we will explore how the responsible and ethical use of AI and technology can help schools better organize evidence, strengthen internal dialogue, and remain continuously accreditation-ready — while fully respecting the independence and integrity of accreditation processes.

Our goal is to help schools move from periodic accreditation preparation toward continuous quality awareness, where evidence, reflection, and improvement become part of everyday school life.

We’re grateful for the trust and thoughtful collaboration from the WASC team, and especially thankful to Barry Groves for his openness and willingness to build alongside us.

We look forward to learning together with schools as we explore what accreditation-aligned improvement can look like in practice.
